The Suffolk Anaesthetic group is made up of Consultant Anaesthetists and deliver the majority of anaesthetic care to the Nuffield Health and Ipswich Hospital independent health care sector.
All of our consultants practice in parallel at Ipswich NHS hospital (a part of ESNEFT) , and can therefore draw on the advice from colleagues in other specialities, access to Ipswich NHS medical records, extensive current experience and the high level training available. The anaesthetic consultants work independently but in close collaboration broadening the field of specialist anaesthetic expertise to include intensive care, pre op optimisation, regional anaesthesia, chronic pain, enhanced recovery, paediatrics, spinal surgery and head and neck surgery to ensure a safe and comfortable perioperative journey.
For further information or specific questions about your anaesthetic or fee, please refer to the anaesthetist scheduled for your operation.
To identify your anaesthetist, please ask your surgical consultant secretary or for Ipswich Hospital contact – email lana.sewell@esneft.nhs.uk
